About Us Centre for Personal and Management Coaching
Centre for Personal and Management Coaching Our Approach
At CPM Coaching we take an integrative approach to our coaching practice. Primarily we are relationship focused and built strong bonds with our clients and partners. By focusing on the relationship and understanding the needs of the individual or group we can then tailor our approach to best suit your needs. We draw on several theoretical approaches such as Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioural, Narrative, Appreciative Inquiry, Motivational Interviewing, Existentialist, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and primarily Person Centred coaching.
Performance and Potential
Central to our Coaching practice is to look at Performance. This is truly the only aspect of our engagement that we can control. Timothy Gallwey described Performance as being equal to your Potential but minus the Interference. We see six elements, depicted as a hexagon, as being of particular importance when looking at Performance, Potential or indeed Interference, ‘what gets in the way’. These six factors are your thinking patterns (Cognitive your actions (Behavior) your feelings (Emotions) the Social Context, how you feel physically (Physiological) and finally your Values (defined by some as Spiritual).
Related to this hexagon is the area of managing the performance of others, mentoring and emotional intelligence which includes awareness and social relationships. As represented in the company logo, the intersecting hexagons depict two people coming together. Managing ourselves is one challenge, understanding the other is a second and finally managing the white space or ‘thinking / reflective space’ that we create in a conversation is the core challenge and opportunity for the skilled coach.
The Centre for Personal for Management Coaching keeps four values at the core of its working philosophy
Dealing with Change whether it is in your personal life or in your career is a challenge. Logically we know that if we ‘keep on doing what we are doing, we will keep on getting what we have’. Change involves doing something differently or sometimes thinking differently. At CPM Coaching we engage with a Positive Attitude, a clear way of thinking, a realistic and grounded way of planning. Negative thinking is the singular biggest obstacle to achieving positive change
‘Getting a break’ has been described as being a mixture of hard work, good luck and keeping yourself in contention. Keeping yourself in contention is critical to achieving goals and realising your potential. It involves motivation, building confidence and creative thinking. Creating opportunities for ourselves, in business or in life, requires a calculated amount of risk. It begins with the seed of an idea. One of the key components to being able to work hard is self-care that is caring for oneself emotionally, physically and cognitively.
At CPM Coaching we build our relationships based on trust and authenticity. Our approach is person centred, non-judgmental and confidential. We believe in the potential of each individual and group that we work with. In order for that potential to come through we create a ‘thinking space’ to deal with the interference that sometimes prevents the realisation of that potential and the achievement of the performance that you are capable of realising.
A Sense of Belonging
A Sense of Belonging
We can experience a sense of belonging from family, a special group of friends, a club, a community group or team. At CPM Coaching we care about the people that avail of our services. We take a personal interest in your goals and objectives so providing care for you is a corner stone of our business. We take a person centred approach than ensures support, non judgement, confidentiality, challenge and belief in your ability. It is our objective that you feel a sense of belonging when you engage with us.
